Description
The illustration, refined to the smallest detail, shows a dramatic scene taking place among the ruins of fighting Warsaw. An insurgent carrying a dying girl was surrounded by Germans, depicted in the convention of soulless cyborgs. The lonely Cichociemny - commander of the Umbrella Battalion - is heading to the rescue of the insurgents. With a Vis pistol in his hand, with a white and red armband with the Anchor of Fighting Poland on his left arm and the Parasol Battalion badge on his right arm. On the backpack you can see the Cichociemni Parachute Badge. Showing the Germans as brutal machines devoid of human features is a procedure that makes it easier to realize what bestiality the heroically fighting Warsaw Insurgents had to face.
